Sky News was interrupted
A protester interrupted a report this afternoon, outside Liverpool Crown Court. The news channel was reporting on the sentencing of when a man with a sign cut in, interrupting presenting from Sarah-Jane Mee.
The court was currently on a lunch break, with Rudakuana removed from the dock temporarily, as the cameras showed the scenes outside. Since cameras were not allowed in the court room, the media gathered outside – attracting the attention of protesters.
A man appeared holding a large white sign with an angry message scrawled upon it. He stood silently, closely to the reporter, as he held the sign up in clear view of the cameras.
It read: “Kids die, media lie.” Another man seemed to accompany him as they stood together, trying their best to get their message across.
Earlier in the day, Sarah was visibly overwhelmed with emotion while reporting on the Southport killings.

Acknowledging the distressing nature of the events, she said: “Right, sorry it’s just so distressing isn’t it?”
She went on to explain: “Look we’re here for those girls and their families so try not to get upset because it is such an important day for them and this horror that came to their door.”

The sign read ‘kids die media lie’
Some chilling details have emerged as he has his day in court. Liverpool Crown Court was informed that Rudakubana had expressed, “I’m glad they’re dead” while being held in a custody suite following the tragic incident where he attacked and killed three girls with a knife at a dance class in Southport.
Rudakubana entered guilty pleas to all 16 charges on the opening day of his trial at Liverpool Crown Court this past Monday.
