and Billy Joel will join forces for an exclusive one-night-only performance at New York’s Yankee Stadium on Friday, July 18.
Rod, 80, announced the news on Thursday, (January 23) on , writing: “@billyjoel and I will be joining forces for a one-night-only performance at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, OH, on September 20, 2025.
“Citi cardmembers, you get first crack at tickets starting Monday, January 27, at 10 AM EST. For everyone else, tickets go on sale Friday, January 31, at 10 AM EST.”
Billy’s social media accounts also shared the exciting news: “JUST ANNOUNCED: One-night-only performance! Billy Joel alongside two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Rod Stewart at Yankee Stadium in New York, NY, on Friday, July 18, 2025.”
According to Yankee Stadium representatives, the iconic duo will perform “their most beloved songs” spanning their decades-long careers.
Fans flocked to Rod’s comment section as many pleaded for the rocker to perform in their city.
One fan begged: “Please come to LA,” while another urged: “Come to Peru, Rod.”
Another said: “Please have him join you at Budweiser stage in Toronto!!!”
While a fourth urged: “Please come to Madison Square Garden NY.”

Uptown Girl singer, Billy is currently performing across the US with shows featuring Sting and Stevie Nicks, while Rod has a packed schedule leading up to the summer, including a February show in Atlantic City.
The concert marks Billy’s return to Yankee Stadium after 35 years. He last performed there in 1990 at the original stadium in a show titled Billy Joel Live from Yankee Stadium.
Scott Krug, Senior Vice President of the Yankees, said in a statement: “It is also particularly fitting that Billy Joel, who was born in the Bronx and is so iconically identified with New York, will become the first musical act to headline a show at both the original Yankee Stadium and the current Yankee Stadium.”
The announcement followed to his One Last Time Tour later this year.

The rock legend is already headlining the later this year during the Sunday Legend’s slot. The extra show dates will be in Sofia, Bulgaria, and Athens, Greece.
Taking to , he penned: “I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be adding two more shows to my One Last Time Tour this December!
“On December 11th, I’ll be performing in Sofia, Bulgaria, and on December 13th, I’ll be heading to Athens, Greece! Hope to see you there!”
On his worldwide tour, the British singer has already been confirmed to perform in Toronto, Nashville, Florida, Oslo, Krakow, and other European cities.
The English singer, who is married to star and former model Penny Lancaster, recently celebrated his 80th birthday this month with lavish celebrations.
Posting an old photo of himself from his younger years, he told his fans: “Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes – 80 years young!
“What an incredible journey it’s been – from unforgettable moments on and off the stage to earning some truly special honors along the way. But above all, my greatest joy has always been performing for you.
