People are only just realising what the tiny button on car seatbelts is actually for

There are countless knobs, buttons and holes found on certain devices that many are none the wiser to when it comes to their actual use.

Most of these features we just accept and don’t question as it can often drive a person mad.

A car is home to an array of these strange features with their use being a total conundrum.

In fact, many of today’s cars are packed-full of hidden features and technologies which are often downright confounding.

One such feature involves a vehicle’s seatbelt – and includes the tiny button found on it.

Whether a brand new car or an older model, all vehicle seat belts feature a little button on them.

As to their use, its left most scratching their heads, but fortunately one has solved the riddle of the small bump on black plastic seat belts.

user @epiccfacts explained in a video saying: “The little button on your seatbelt is to stop the buckle from going past it.”

User @epiccfacts added: “So it will always be in the right spot when you go to buckle it up.”

The stopper button is made of two pieces which clip together, allowing a person to push the stopper button through the seat belt. Tthese two parts can be clipped together with pliers.

If the button is ever stuck, cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs often helps.

Followers were in disbelief after finally learning the little button actually has a purpose.

One commented about the video saying: “Wow that seatbelt one blew my mind. I would have never thought of that.”

Another wrote: “Wow I never knew that!”
