Mike De Decker has made some more telling comments.
Mike De Decker has given a scathing assessment of this week’s Dutch Darts Masters after rejecting the chance to play in the tournament. The event at the Maaspoort Den Bosch arena in the Netherlands gets underway on Friday and is the second World Series meeting of the year .
Eight stars have qualified to take part, along with eight Dutch players invited by organisers.
De Decker, 29, was asked to participate after citing family reasons.
And he’s since hit out at the event, claiming he had little interest in being involved prior to being asked. “The World Series is not a tournament I was looking forward to anyway, and certainly not the one in the Netherlands,” he said.
“If you get invited, then you want to go to Bahrain or Australia. at least those are nice countries. Of all the places where those tournaments are, you don’t want to be invited to Den Bosch.”
De Decker’s comments are not only likely to anger organisers, but also PDC chiefs as well. And ‘The Real Deal’ could well now jeopardise invites to future World Series events after continuing his outspoken ways.

Earlier this month, over being overlooked for the 2025 campaign. He duly took aim at Nathan Aspinall and Gerwyn Price, who retained their places in the eight-man line-up despite both having an indifferent year in 2024.
“My first feeling immediately after the announcement was one of disbelief,” he told . “The past 20 years, the Grand Prix winner was there every time. I think their decision is a bit scandalous.
“They say that you get into the Premier League based on results, but apparently that is not the case. Aspinall is there with his walk-on purely for the entertainment and if Price performs badly in the first few weeks, he will start complaining again.”
The first round of the Dutch Masters will be played on Friday, with the eight PDC players taking on the eight wildcards. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals will then be played on Saturday.
De Decker was also absent from the tournament last year, which was won by home favourite . A £100,000 prize fund is on offer at the event, with the winner taking away £30,000.
