With only two episodes left to go, fan excitement is building ahead of what promises to be an explosive final of reality show The Traitors.
Ahead of the grand finale on Friday, former player Ivan Brett has shed new light on a huge moment viewers never get to see at the tense Round Tables.
Author Ivan, who took part on the first series of the show back in 2022, has divulged that music is played during the infamous roundtables in order to help build the tension.
“You sit there and wait a long time before it starts, and then they pump in some music to hype the tension,” he said, speaking on behalf of Spin Genie AR’s Treasure Quest.
Ivan emphasised the authenticity of the show’s depiction of events, confirming that cast members were not prompted to redo scenes or given any instructions to engage with others.

“Things were portrayed as they happened. We were never asked to retake anything, and we were never put in a room and told to speak to people or anything like that. There was no direction, so I really want to make that clear,” he explained.
Despite the mistrust of his co-stars who suspected him of duplicity, Ivan maintained his role as a Faithful throughout his time on the show until his untimely exit as the fifth player eliminated and the third banished from the game, reports .
As the series draws to a close with just two episodes remaining, tensions are escalating among the Faithfuls as they scramble to eliminate the remaining Traitor.

In Wednesday’s episode (January 22), Minah, who has been playing the role of a Traitor from the outset, was expelled from the castle after receiving the majority of votes. Her co-conspirator Charlotte, recently recruited by Minah, also turned against her, voting her off the show.
In the episode’s final moments, host Claudia Winkleman presented Charlotte with a chilling task: she must attempt to seduce a Faithful, and if rebuffed, she is to kill them immediately. She selected Freddie, unaware that he is merely a pawn in her game and she intends to remove him from play.
Audiences are bracing for a significant plot twist in the run-up to the finale, as host Claudia Winkleman hinted at one contestant being granted an immense power capable of completely upending the game.
