This time, the Gunners are reportedly eyeing up a move for versatile defender Danilo after he was frozen out by head coach Thiago Motta.
Italian outlet claim that Danilo is attracted to the idea of a return due to interest from , though Napoli and clubs in Brazil and the Middle East are also in contention for his signature.
The 33-year-old is free to leave Turin for a likely nominal fee with his contract up at the end of the season. He was made to train separately from the first team squad and talks have taken place over the prospect of terminating his deal early.
There was an expectation that Danilo would move to Napoli, but interest from and Flamengo has complicated matters and he is now pondering whether to return to his homeland or work with Arteta once again.
Danilo and Arteta were at City together between 2017 and 2019, with the Brazilian arriving the summer after the Spanish coach for £26.5million from .

“I’ve been following a little bit this season and they play so good,” Danilo said. “I know Arteta pretty well, he’s a good coach with good energy and it’s a great team to watch and learn.”
Arteta has showcased his desire to work with defenders who can play on either side of the pitch and central, having added Jurrien Timber and to his squad in the past two summers.
