Snow is forecast for this weekend.
The UK is bracing for as far south as this weekend as Storm Éowyn batters the north of the country at the same time.
New maps by WXCHARTS have revealed due to arrive on Saturday, bringing snow and rain with it.
The snow will mainly impact Scotland, particularly along the west coast from Cape Wrath to Argyll and Bute, which could see up to 1cm/hr. Localised dustings of around 0.6cm/hr are also due around Edinburgh.
Surprisingly, in South England, with light rates between 0.2-1cm/hr due in areas such as South London and East Sussex.
Large areas of Norfolk including Norwich and Great Yarmouth are also expected to see snow this Saturday, but this will remain at very low levels – no more than 0.2cm/hr.

There is also a yellow warning for wind in place on the , overlapping with areas of Scotland due to get snow.
The issued the warning for six areas of Scotland, including Dundee, Aberdeen, and the Highlands. It’s also in place for North East and North West England, specifically Northumberland and Cumbria.

The forecast for Friday and Saturday reads: “Wet and very windy on Friday as Storm Éowyn moves in. Sunshine and showers on Saturday. Mixture of clear and sunny spells on Sunday but winds picking up again later.”
