UK tornado warning in place before Storm Eowyn blasts Britain – full list of areas hit

A tornado warning has been put in place for parts of Britain ahead of Storm Eowyn.

The European Storm Forecast Experiment has issued a level 2 alert, warning that the development of a tornado ‘cannot be ruled out’.

Southern England is most at risk, including areas between Bristol and London.

As well as the level 2 alert, wider parts of southern England and parts of wales have also been issued with a level one tornado warning.

The have said that the storm has the potential to cause “danger to life” with gusts of up to 90mph expected in the country.

“Injuries and danger to life could occur from flying debris, as well as large waves and beach material onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties,” it warned.

Scotland is also set to face brutal winds from tomorrow, with the storm expected to leave some areas covered in snow of up to ten inches.
