The Night Agent season 3 cast details and filming locations have already been unveiled

Netflix’s The Night Agent is gearing up for its second season on January 23, introducing a fresh setting and new characters. Gabriel Basso will be back as Peter Sutherland, who previously bid farewell to Luciane Buchanan’s Rose Larkin to embark on a novel quest, promising viewers another round of high-stakes escapades.

Based on Matthew Quirk’s eponymous novel, the action-filled series has been extended by for two additional seasons, beyond the single-book origin. The show swiftly climbed the ranks to become the platform’s sixth top-watched offering within just a month of its release.

In an ambitious move, committed to a third season in October 2024 before the launch of the second.

Casting for the anticipated third season is well in motion, with Genesis Rodriguez snapped up as a regular in November 2024. December revealed a significant expansion of the cast with David Lyons, Jennifer Morrison, Stephen Moyer, and Callum Vinson taking regular roles, and Suraj Sharma in a recurring spot for the next instalment.

Deadline divulged some character secrets: “Lyons will play a former spy lured out of retirement, Morrison will play the First Lady, Moyer will play a top hitman; and Rodriguez will play a reporter.”

These intriguing biographies are pending ‘s formal stamp of approval.

Meanwhile, season three kick-started its shooting in Istanbul and plans to continue production back in New York come 2025.

Tudum has revealed that filming is set to span over seven months, with an expected completion date around June 2025.

While the official release date remains under wraps, it’s anticipated that season three will hit screens in early 2026.

Turning to the fresh faces on the cast, Morrison is recognised for her roles in How I Met Your Mother and This Is Us.

Moyer made his mark in True Blood, while Lyons gained fame through Seven Seconds and Truth Be Told.

Vinson is currently sharing the screen with Amanda Seyfried in the forthcoming Peacock limited series Long Bright River.

Sharma shared the limelight with Hilary Duff in the Hulu comedy series How I Met Your Father.

Rodriguez is celebrated for his performances in Prisionera and Dame Chocolate.
