Princess Kate’s former school announced plans to undergo a major upgrade
The ‘s former school in Wiltshire is planning on refurbishing one of its “outdated” boarding houses if its application gets approved by the local council, it has emerged.
Marlborough College, where Princess Kate was enrolled when she was younger, has announced plans to extend and upgrade C2 House, one of the college’s six boarding houses, with a decision expected by mid-March.
Kate boarded at Marlborough College between 1996 and 2000, while her siblings, James and Pippa Middleton, also attended the school.
The announcement comes just as the Prince and Princess of Wales about their oldest child, ‘s, schooling.
in the past few years, with her former school considered one of the top contenders for the second in line to the throne.

George, 11, is currently in Year 7 at Lambrook School in Berkshire, where he is joined by his siblings, , 9 and , 6.
The young prince will stay at Lambrook until he turns 13, but his next steps have been at the centre of discussions during the past year, with many speculating about where he will be sent to school.
Now, according to the , leaders at the prestigious school in Wiltshire want the “outdated” bedroom and communal spaces to be rejuvenated and extra storeys to be added.
Based on Bath Road, the site is separate from the main college grounds and is not a listed building.
The application stressed that the school’s mission is to deliver the UK’s “best independent education”, so having “modern, exemplary buildings is essential”.

It read: “The current bedroom and communal spaces are outdated, below standard, in need of an upgrade and not sufficient to accommodate the increased number of pupils.
“To address this, the design focuses on expanding the spatial capacity/accommodation of the building.
“This will be achieved by extending the lower block across three storeys, adding an additional storey above the entrance to line through with the existing roof, and adding a single-storey extension to the ground floor communal area.”
The school has a long list of famous alumni apart from the Princess of Wales, including poet Siegfried Sassoon and comedian Jack Whitehall.
