Princess Anne has been rewearing the Adidas sunglasses for years
stepped out solo in South Africa yesterday for her first royal tour of the year, with the princess set to spend just two days in the country.
The Princess Royal, 74, has which included commemorating the sacrifices of black South Africans and other races who played a vital role as military labourers during the First World War.
As president of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Anne unveiled the organisation’s Cape Town Labour Corps Memorial, which honours more than 1,700 South Africans who carried out non-combat jobs and died with no known grave or commemoration during the First World War.
While her important work has made headlines so far this week, the princess has also impressed fans with her style, including her iconic sunglasses.
Known for wearing dresses, tartan skirt suits and jackets, fans may not be surprised that Anne has been spotted on the trip wearing the same Adidas pair of sunglasses that she has owned since the early 2000s.

The princess has worn the wraparound sunglasses numerous times, and one eyewear stylist believes they are more functional than most.
, eyewear stylist Dan Scott said: “Traditionally, wraparound sunglasses have been seen more as functional sunglasses for sport, rather than any kind of aspirational fashion item.
“That certainly is the case in the world of prescription eyewear anyway, with the obvious limitations that the strong wrap brings to glazing lenses.”

The visit is set to come to an end today, with the King’s sister set to fly back home to her husband Sir Timothy Laurence, who was originally expected to accompany her on the trip.
