Over 7,000 Kia Sorentos recalled in Canada over headlights

The popular sport-utilities may seem both head- and taillights malfunction or shut off unexpectedly

Kia has stated that no collisions or injuries related to the defect have been reported in North America.

Sorentos covered by the safety campaign include all gas-driven models; plus, among the 2025-model-year SUVs, hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models.

Kia will begin notifying affected customers by mail. Owners can also verify if their vehicle is impacted by checking Kia Canada’s website or consulting Transport Canada’s online recall database. In the United States, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued recall campaign 25V-006 for the same problem. The internal company code for the recall in both countries is RC213.
