Bruce Willis made a rare public appearance since his 2023 frontotemporal dementia diagnosis, shaking hands with first responders amid the ongoing fires in Los Angeles.
The actor’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, shared a black-and-white video to Instagram, showing him shaking hands with police and posing for a photo, set to “Going to California” by Led Zeppelin.
“Spotting a first responder, Bruce never missed a chance to show his gratitude with a heartfelt handshake and a ‘thank you for your service.’ Yesterday was no different,” Heming Willis, 46, wrote alongside the video.
“This makes my heart so freaking full,” Tallulah Willis commented on the video.
Willis, 69, shares daughters Mabel Ray Willis, 12, and Evelyn Penn Willis, 10, with wife Emma, and older daughters Rumer Glenn Willis, 36, Scout LaRue Willis, 33, and Tallulah, 30, with ex-wife Demi Moore.
In 2022, the “Die Hard” star stepped away from acting after initially being diagnosed with aphasia, a language disorder. He was later diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, and has largely remained out of the public eye, save for social media updates posted by family members.
