The Duke and Duchess of Sussex became the target of Vanity Fair, which painted a worrying picture of the couple’s life across the pond.
Citing sources that have worked with Harry and Meghan, the outlet made a series of explosive allegations about the couple, including by Montecito residents, while it also brought up new allegations regarding
The Sussex couple has declined to comment on the latest claims, but sources close to them told the Times they find the latest allegations “distressing”.
Vanity Fair’s bomshell reports follows previous allegations made against the duchess last year and back in 2018, the latter of which she has vehemently denied.

But now, the said the latest explosive claims made by a US magazine which had “consistently taken the Sussexes’ side” following their move across the pond after they quit the Royal Family in 2020, is a “significant volte-face” and reflect the changing mood in the US towards the couple.
Its US correspondent, Tom Leonard, alleged that American media is “apparently tired of their endless victimhood and blinding lack of self-awareness” in a piece titled: “As US celebrity bible publishes damning takedown of Harry and Meghan, why America is FINALLY falling out of love with the Sussexes (just like Britain did).”
He wrote: “Why has a title that was long one of the couple’s most fervent press cheerleaders performed such a drastic U-turn?
“One answer is that it’s reflecting the changing mood of the US media which, once the couple’s greatest champions, in recent times has turned sour.”
Mr Leonard added: “The Sussexes’ undisguised loathing for the British Press was a key reason why they moved to America, whose own media gave every early indication that it was going to root for the local girl and her prince, come what may.
“Yet the US media is apparently tired of their endless victimhood and blinding lack of self-awareness.”

Meghan Markle allegedly made staff going into ‘therapy’ after working with her
In one part of its cover story, Vanity Fair painted a worrying picture about Meghan’s attitude towards staff as it claimed that a former Spotify colleague had to take a “leave of absence after working on three episodes”.
The outlet alleged that “several others” said that they had to take “breaks from work to escape scrutiny”, leave their job altogether or undergo “long-term therapy” after working with Meghan.
Meanwhile, a source claimed Meghan’s relationship with staffers followed a “similar pattern” of being “warn and effusive” at first to becoming “cold and withholding towards the person she[Meghan] perceived to be responsible” when something went “poorly”.
However, producer Jane Marie, who collaborated with the couple while they developed audio projects at Archewell, held a different opinion about Meghan.
Last year, Meghan was dubbed “Duchess Difficult” by another US publication the Reporter, which claimed that her staff are allegedly “terrified” of her and her “belittling” behaviour towards them.
The claims – which were dismissed by a US weekly cover story citing staff who were ‘dumbfounded’ by the allegations – sparked a media war, with different US outlets citing their own sources about Meghan’s demeanour. The Duchess never commented on those claims.
It followed previous bullying allegations which were made against the Duchess back in 2018, when she was still a working royal, which she has long and vehemently denied.
