New ‘chilling’ thriller with stellar cast is now available to stream

A new ‘chilling’ thriller that brings together an impressive ensemble cast on a private island is now available to be watched online.

Directed and produced by The Batman’s Zoe Kravitz, Blink Twice stars Channing Tatum as the suave tech billionaire Slater King who crosses paths with waitress Frida, played by Naomi Ackie. At a glamorous gala, he offers her to join his clique on their exclusive island getaway.

The plot thickens when the women at the luxury retreat begin to forget haunting details of the previous nights. In a desperate race against time, Frida and her companions piece together the puzzle in an attempt to escape with their lives.

The ensemble cast includes Alia Shawkat from Arrested Development, Christian Slater of Mr Robot fame, and Kyle MacLachlan known for Twin Peaks and Fallout. The wider cast includes Adria Arjona, Haley Joel Osment, Simon Rex, and the iconic Geena Davis.

Released to Prime Video just today (Tuesday, January 21), Blink Twice offers a second shot for audiences to catch this cinematic gem post its theatrical release, reports .

The film served as Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut and she co-wrote the mystery thriller.

Blink Twice managed a respectable showing at the box office, pulling in $46 million over a budget of $20 million and garnering a solid 75% approval on Rotten Tomatoes from the critics.

The Guardian praised Kravitz’s feature debut behind the camera stating: “The actor-to-director path is fraught with pitfalls, but I am happy to report that Kravitz is very much the real deal.

“The picture is visually rich look out for the alarm flashes of toxic yellow she introduces into the colour palette and the use of sound gave me chills.

“And if aspects of the screenplay might not hold up to neuro-physiological scrutiny, the glorious savagery of the final act makes up for it.”
