“Gorgeous!” wrote Demi Moore.
“Wow!!!! So beautiful !!! Happy birthday!!!” Kyle Richards wrote.
Griffith and Hedren, who is best known for playing Melanie Daniels in “The Birds,” have a very close relationship. The pair starred together in 1981’s “Roar,” and in a past interview with Vogue, Griffith credited her mother with helping her find her place in life as a young actor.
She said Hedren taught her “all of the basic skills that a girl or woman needed to know at that time: cooking, cleaning, self-care, and most importantly, how to create a safe space for myself.”
“That’s what I wanted to emulate as a mother: a woman who is content with herself, who can take care of herself, and who knows how to love herself,” she continued.
Griffith also commented on her approach to parenthood, which includes being mom to daughters Dakota Johnson and Stella Banderas and son Alexander Bauer.
“I consciously spent and still spend a lot of time with my kids. I talk about everything with them,” Griffith told the magazine in a joint interview with Banderas.
