speculated that could be feeling slightly annoyed after he let one player slip through his fingers.

Tuesday’s instalment (January 21) of The Chase saw four new contestants take on The Sinnerman in the hopes of winning a cash prize.

First to take on the chaser was Lynne. The 61-year-old, who works as a construction consultant, got the team off to a great start by answering six questions correctly in the cash builder.

She decided to stick with this offer as she went head-to-head with Paul. It was touch and go between the duo, with Paul eventually closing the gap between himself and Lynne.

But when it looked like Lynne could be caught after answering another question wrong, it was revealed that Paul also didn’t know the answer. The professional quizzer let Lynne escape him once again after he answered another question wrong which she got right.

Lynne eventually made it back to the final chase with £6,000 in the bank.

After she returned to the team, Bradley announced that he was about to do something that rarely happens on the show.

“I don’t normally go to the chaser after player one because we don’t really know enough about the team, but I can imagine he’s a little bit annoyed.”

Paul confessed: “I’m a little bit annoyed but somebody’s got to get back. I can’t play against a team with nobody back.”

The 54-year-old then said he believes the team will all choose the middle offer after listening to the advice they gave Lynne.

The second contestant to take on Paul was Phoebe, a computer science teacher from London.

After answering three questions correctly in the cash builder, the 21-year-old proved Paul’s theory was right as she stuck with this offer.

Phoebe became the second contestant through to the final chase, with Greg hoping to follow in her footsteps.
