Jake Paul shares a picture with Logan and McGregor
appeared to be visibly disinterested after he and his older brother Logan shared the same bus as bitter rival, former UFC two-division champion .
The trio were snapped together on Monday ahead of ‘s inauguration in Washington DC. The 78-year-old is set to be sworn in later today as the 47th president of the United States, eight years after he first took oath of the office.
With many celebrities set to attend the historic event, excitement continues to grow. However, fans were left stunned after McGregor was seen posing alongside the Paul brothers and sharing the same vehicle. Both Jake and his older brother Logan were joined by their mother Pam Stepnick on their way to the ceremony.
In a post uploaded to X – formerly known as Twitter – ‘The Problem Child’ shocked the combat sports community after posting a picture with the Irishman seated behind him and his brother. Jake captioned the snap: “Inauguration going great.” One user replied to the snapshot: “Never thought I would see a picture like this, with all the beef over the years,” while another wrote:”I cannot believe what I’m seeing.”
Despite the ongoing feud between the Paul brothers and McGregor, it would appear that ‘The Problem Child’ wasn’t too bothered about being in the same proximity as the UFC legend.
The picture comes not long after Jake decided to take a swipe at McGregor online, posting: “Now it all makes sense why Conor Mcgregor and his management team have been desperately trying to get MVP to negotiate for a fight between us. As we told them them privately and I’m now saying it publicly…the only way we’re willing to explore me vs Conor in a pro boxing / MMA fight is if Dana White / UFC are at the table directly or make it clear they are ok with discussions. Conor is washed. Needs the Paul’s. Logan by however he wants.”
Despite Paul’s choice of words, it seems as if the Irishman is . Last month, buzz was rife that McGregor was negotiating a bout with Paul’s elder sibling. Taking to X, the Irish fighter denied rumours of a showdown with UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria, declaring: “The rumours of a bout with Topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”
Despite ‘The Maverick’ recently committing to WWE, a tempting offer to go glove-to-glove with McGregor might just lure him back into the boxing ring. The 29-year-old , the head honcho of Endeavor which owns the UFC and WWE, for a chance to square off against ‘The Notorious’. In a video uploaded to YouTube, footage showed ‘The Maverick’ and Emanuel sharing a warm embrace and handshake before saying, “Ari, I need one favour from you,” to which the Endeavor head honcho replied, “Yeah” Paul’s request followed: “I need you to greenlight me vs Conor.” A shared laugh ensued, and both stated “seriously.”
