Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley hosted Good Morning Britain
Susanna Reid was hit with backlash while presenting ITV’s Good Morning Britain today after she made a “biased” remark about . The US President’s inauguration was the main topic of the morning, as he is due to be sworn in at the US Capitol later today.
The ITV breakfast show welcomed on a friend of the US politician, Damian Bates, to talk all things Trump. That was when asked: “How would you respond to the allegations that he’s a misogynist, who’s used some pretty unsavoury language about women and his interactions with them and he’s a convicted felon?”
But the question didn’t quite land with fans at home, as they shared their thoughts and opinions on social media. Posting to X/Twitter, one fan raged: “They aren’t allegations @susannareid100, they are facts!”
Another added: “And this is why people are switching off from Good Morning Britain,” while a third complained: “@susannareid100 and @richardm56 are so unbelievably biased against Trump. Can anyone imagine the train wreck of geopolitics if Harris got in.”
Susanna continued her tirade about the President, as his friend responded saying: “Yeah, but he’s fighting for America. He’s putting his country first.”
He added: “Is he perfect? Of course he’s not perfect. He admits that he’s not perfect in perhaps one of his quieter moments but this guy is fighting for his country. He wants to put America first.”
