Dancing On Ice fans are up in arms after Chelsee Healey was sent home on Sunday night – with some registering complaints to Ofcom.

‘The Greatest Show On Ice’ returned for the second episode of the 2025 series and usually, the second week would see the first skate-off, with judges forced to choose between the two skaters in the bottom two and send one of them through to next week.

But presenters and announced that there would be no dance-off this week and no chance for one of the bottom two skaters to be saved by the judges, and instead the skater with the lowest public vote and judges vote would be instantly eliminated.

As the judges’ scores and public vote for each dance across the two shows were combined, it was announced Healey had the lowest score and would be leaving the competition.

The 36-year-old actress and her professional skating partner Andy Buchanan ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard last weekend with a score of 22 from the judges after the first batch of contestants had performed.

After host delivered the news, Healey praised her dance partner Buchanan for being “amazing” and said she “couldn’t have done it without him”.

She added: “I feel, personally, there’s been a lot going on with me that I’ve been struggling with, so I couldn’t completely focus.

“I’m just really grateful, I’ve had the best time.”

But fans were absolutely furious at the sudden change of format which sent Chelsee packing.

@brattybarbl claimed: “I will not rest. Justice will be served. Count your days. You cannot scam people even if the votes are free. @dancingonice @ #DancingOnIce”

She then shared a screenshot of the complaints form on the Ofcom website, where she had written in the ‘Your complaint’ box: “Chelsee Healey VOTING SCAM!”.

And @ynysmonggc54 added: ” Hi. How do I submit the form. That was a stitch up. She was a far better dancer to Redgrave and Jones”

Others were furious at Chelsee’s elimination, too. @jamesroberts330 said: “When the lineup was announced for #DancingOnIce #DOI I had Chelsee Healey as a finalist or winner. Never thought I’d see her being eliminated FIRST. She was right royally set up and screwed over by this stupid format change. She was great on #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing though!”

@xmissgemcx said: “Absolutely no way should Chelsee have been out first! Really unfair the way this first vote out has been done #dancingonice”

@mishybabez said: “Getting rid of the skate off is stupid! Chelsee deserved better tbh”

@lauragarside said: “Chelsee has been done dirty there. If there was a skate off she would have got through. She had so much potential. #dancingonice”

@jenmetcalfeuk said: “Chelsee did not deserve to go home! What is this rigged b***** where’s the skate off. She really has been done over because they were clearly much worse skaters in Steve & Josh so! DOI you’re b*****.”

Earlier in the show, The Traitors star Mollie Pearce was hailed as “one to watch” after impressing the judges with her first performance.

The 22-year-old secured an impressive score of 29.5 out of 40 despite missing four weeks of training after fracturing her left wrist in rehearsals.
