The official swearing-in ceremony will be taking place today (January 20), with a number of events being held in the run-up to the historical moment. The events include The Make America Great Again Victory Rally and Liberty Ball.

Billy is performing in support of the new President, depsite previously making a dig at his popstar daughter, . At a Bitcoin conference in Nashville in July last year, the politician spoke to the crowd as he said: “Billy Ray Cyrus is here.

“Where is Billy Ray? He’s around here someplace, and he’s great. He’s a conservative guy. I said, ‘How did you get such a liberal daughter?’ How had that happened, Billy Ray?”

Elsewhere in Billy Ray’s family life, he – born Johanna Rose Hodges – in August of last year.

The former couple married in October 2023, but chose to go their seperate ways less than a year later. According to Page Six, Johanna legally changed her last name to Cyrus – with the dad of six believing she only married him for that reason.

In a statement via his attorneys, Cyrus told the publication: “This has been absolutely the most crazy insane scam I have ever heard of. Let alone the fact I’m right in the center and basically the target of the scheme.

“It’s unfortunate it played out this way. Not only was it a web of lies that put me in physical danger, it was a matter of the heart. Love is blind, that’s for sure.”

When filing for divorce in May 2024, Cyrus cited irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as the reason for the split. He also sought an annulment on the grounds of fraud.

Amid the bitter split, it was reported that 35-year-old Australian singer, Johanna, would not receive a single dollar from Cyrus.

However, Cyrus, 62, would have to hand over his claims to credits and royalties for songs they wrote and published together.
