Meghan Markle left out of top secret royal meeting – ‘wasn’t necessary’

was once reportedly snubbed from a major royal meeting following her and ‘s decision to quit the Firm.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they would step down as senior working royals on January 8, 2020.

A few days later, on January 13, to discuss the matter in what’s been dubbed the “Sandringham Summit”, spearheaded by the late Queen Elizabeth.

The “summit” involved the late monarch, King Charles, and – however, .

At the time, the Sussexes reportedly claimed it wasn’t “necessary for the duchess to join”.

But the ‘s Richard Kay said that there was a reason Meghan was not present during the summit.

He wrote: “According to palace officials, such an idea was rejected because no one knew for sure who else might have been listening in.

“This was a ‘highly confidential family discussion, not a conference call,’ says one insider.”

In 2022, while appearing in her bombshell docuseries with the duke, Harry & Meghan, the duchess said of the meeting: “Imagine a conversation, a roundtable discussion about the future of your life. When the stakes are this high.

“And you as the mom and the wife and the target, in many regards, aren’t invited to have a seat at the table.”

Harry said: “It was clear to me that they planned out so that you weren’t in the room.”

Following the “summit”, Queen Elizabeth released a statement which said: “Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family.

“My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family.

“Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family.”

Menawhile, a PR expert warned from Mr Trump during his next four years in office.

His view was in repsonse to the Sussexes calling on Meta to reconsider planned changes, urging firms to commit to make online spaces safe, saying: “We applaud leaders who refuse to kowtow to bullying”.
