fans have noticed that one main character is missing from the new series, which will hit screens on January 31. Last month, for the Christmas special, Dwayne Myers (played by Danny John Jules) returned to Saint Marie with his father, Nelson (Ram John Holder).
However, as show bosses gave a glimpse of the new series, fans quickly noticed that Dwayne was missing from the lineup. Despite being gutted that the officer wouldn’t be in the upcoming episodes, fans were delighted that JP Hooper (Tobi Bakare) was returning.
Fans took to social media to share their thoughts about the bittersweet moment. One fan wrote, “Oh, is JP back? Shame about Dwayne.”
“OMG, I hope we get JP for more than one episode,” another pleaded, while a third asked: “Where is Dwayne?”
Someone else wrote: “Glad it is back, going to miss Dwayne – again.”
Don’t miss…
Dwayne Myers is missing from the cast line-up
“Why are Dwayne and his dad not there?” another asked while one echoed the same sentiments: “Bring back Dwayne and Nelson; why is he missing?”
Throwing another theory into the mix, one fan suggested JP was back to replace Naomi (Shantol Jackson). They wrote: “I wonder if Naomi is leaving and JP is the new DS?”
The synopsis for the upcoming series teases a lot of drama for the regular cast, who will be reprising their roles.
Don Warrington will return to play the Commission, Elizabeth Bourgine will play Catherine, Shantol Jackson will play Naomi, and Jinny Holder is back as Darlene.
