A tiny European town wants Elon Musk to make their 600-year-old castle his new HQ.

Głogówek, in southwest has a population of just 5,600 and is asking to transform its medieval castle into his European hub.

The mayor, Piotr Bujak, has written a letter to the Tesla and SpaceX CEO and reached out on X (formerly Twitter) to encourage the world’s richest man to consider their request.

Musk has reportedly been looking for a castle to build his European base of operations. Bujak said he read that Musk was considering Tuscany, .

Close to the Czech Republic’s border, Głogówek Castle dates back to the 1400s and belonged to the Opole Piasts, part of ruling dynasty, in the 1500s.

But the castle is now deteriorating and needs heavy investment to be restored to its former glory; it would need even more to become Musk’s European headquarters.

Bujak said: “The castle has a very good vibe and is a perfect location for great things. We do not feel worse than Tuscany. We have a perfect climate, and this is the best place on Earth.”

He said the town would be a great location for Musk as it is close to many European capitals, including Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava and Warsaw.

This comes after Musk turned his attention to European politics, criticising UK prime minister in favour of far-right figure Tommy Robinson and supporting extremist far-right German political party Alternative for Germany (AfD).

European leaders – including France’s Emmanual Macron, Germany’s Olaf Scholz and Norway’s Jonad Gahr Stone – have objected to Musk’s “interference” in foreign politics.

The Tesla CEO donated at least $260 million to ’s election campaign. In exchange, Trump has nominated him to lead the currently non-existent “Department of Government Efficiency”.
