Princess Kate reportedly made a secret festive visit to the hospital last month
made headlines this week as she returned to the hospital where she herself received cancer treatment last year after her diagnosis.
The Princess of Wales, 43, to thank staff who looked after her during her own chemotherapy last year, which she finished in October.
During the visit, the mum-of-three also met patients undergoing treatment, giving them hugs and talking to them about the challenges of having cancer.
While the visit made global headlines, it has been revealed that the trip to the hospital was not the only time the princess had returned over the last month.
As , Kate had visited the specialist cancer care centre just before Christmas to see the doctors and nurses who had cared for her.

A source that the future Queen, who was taken in through a back entrance, brought staff hand-picked festive gifts and treats, including biscuits. It is not known how long the visit was or whether her husband , 42, was with her.
The news comes days after the princess last visited the hospital for her first public engagement this year.
After the visit, the princess confirmed she was now in remission and looking forward to the year ahead.
It was also confirmed that the hospital was the place where Kate received treatment, with the Princess of Wales having been taken in through a side door last year for her appointments. She is now joint patron of the of The Royal Marsden along with William.

The princess spoke to cancer patients at the hospital this week
After her visit on Tuesday, the princess wrote on : “I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year. My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything.
“We couldn’t have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.
“In my new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, my hope is, that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family wellbeing, we might save many more lives, and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer.
“It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”
