Outlander’s leading lady has taken to with a heartfelt message following the gripping season seven finale, which finally unveiled the destiny of her beloved character.
The show’s devotees were left in suspense as Claire, played by Caitriona Balfe, was left grappling with a gunshot injury earlier in the season. The recent episodes brought relief as it was revealed she had survived and was recuperating at Fraser’s Ridge.
Before the final episode hit the screens, Balfe shared an emotional farewell on , writing: “Time to say goodbye ….. our Season 7 finale airs tonight. Thank you for watching and being with us on this journey. It’s been an epic season.”
She continued to express gratitude, saying: “Our cast and crew, writers and producers put their hearts and souls into this season …. We hope you’ve enjoyed the ride and we so look forward to coming back one last time for Season 8 …. See you there.”

Fans were awaiting news of Claire’s fate
In a shocking twist during the season seven finale, fans discovered the true identity of Jane Pocock (Silvia Presente), reports . After being sentenced to death for murdering a high-ranking British officer who threatened her sister, Frances (Florrie May Wilkinson), she chooses to end her life with a glass bottle.
However, Jane’s story doesn’t seem to conclude there. Earlier, Claire dreamt about her ancestor Master Raymond (Dominique Pinon) seeking forgiveness.
Later, when the Frasers agree to foster Frances, Claire is touched by a song she sings; it’s the same lullaby she sang to her stillborn baby, Faith, years earlier. This leads her to believe that Faith is still alive and was actually Jane’s mother.
While fans may have to wait for the eighth season for more answers, a spin-off show titled Blood of My Blood has been confirmed, which will delve deeper into the franchise’s lore.
