Nigel Farage predicts he will become Prime Minister before Donald Trump leaves office

made the shock political prediction last night that he will become Britain’s next Prime Minister, and do so before 2030.

Speaking at a packed party in Washington DC thrown in his honour, the insurgent Reform Leader was hailed by Republicans as a future Prime Minister.

He told the room overlooking the White House that ’s victory isn’t just a victory for America but for the free world.

Mr Farage pointed out there are similar movements happening all over Europe now, including in the United Kingdom.

He joked: “There is a new insurgent political party [in Britain], led by a maverick from the outside”.

“And who knows, who knows, I actually do believe that we will win the next general election.

“I do believe I can become the next Prime Minister, and do so quickly while Trump is still in office.”

The prediction marks a new goalpost from for his own political ambitions, as the party continues to climb in the polls.

In the first YouGov poll of 2025 published this week, they found Reform is now in second place, just one point behind the Labour Party.

Meanwhile the have been pushed into third place on 22% under the leadership of Kemi Badenoch.

While Mr Farage’s party won just five seats in last year’s General Election, constituency calculators suggest this election performance would see Reform UK sweep up 106 MPs, just 22 fewer than the .

Sir ’s Labour Party would crash down 125 seats and lose their majority.

A number of polls have now begun showing Reform UK in first place.

Mr Farage was introduced at the party by former Philadelphia Governor Phil Bryant, who asked guests to “welcome with me the future Prime Minister of Great Britain, ”.

Mr Bryant added that he believes there will, one day, be a Prime Minister of the UK “that will lead that country back to its prominence and to its greatness.”

“As chairman of the Royal Commonwealth Society USA I’m proud to say it’s going to be our dear friend tonight.”

The party was hosted by strategist Gerry Gunster and ‘bad boy’ Arron Banks, at the five star Hay Adams Hotel.

Guests were served a combination of British and American delicacies, including fish and chips, roast beef with Yorkshire puddings, and oysters.

Among other guests included former Prime Minister Liz Truss, British ambassador Karen Pierce, members of the House of Lords and Trump advisors Steve Bannon, Seb Gorka and Ant Middleton.
