and Real Betis are ramping up negotiations over a deal for this winter, according to reports.

has used the Brazilian sparingly since being appointed to replace at Old Trafford. And United chiefs will be keen for Antony to boost his market value by playing regularly elsewhere, in order for the club to recoup a chunk of the it took to him in 2022.

Having been given only three starts in all competitions and accumulated just 129 minutes in the this season, Antony is reportedly ready to try and rebuild his career away from Manchester.

Betis hold an interest in the wide man, and according to newspaper , negotiations between the two clubs are intensifying. A loan move is thought to be getting closer, with Betis reluctant to give up after seeing two proposals turned down.

Antony’s wages remain the major sticking point. The 24-year-old picks up a reported at Old Trafford, and Betis would only be able to take him on for the remainder of the campaign if United agree to cover a large chunk of his pay packet.

With two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract, United could be forced to pay Antony’s astronomical wages for some time yet, unless they are able to find a permanent buyer.

And allowing the former Ajax star the chance to thrive in La Liga could turn heads ahead of the summer transfer window. Antony racked up 25 goals in 82 games during his time in the Eredivisie, but those numbers have plummeted to 12 goals in 95 matches in England.

Amorim will be keen to draw a line under the Red Devils’ long-running transfer sagas in order to get a clear picture of his attacking options for the second part of the season. Marcus Rashford’s future is also up in the air with just over two weeks left in the window.

Like Antony, United have struggled to garner attention from suitors prepared to pay all of Rashford’s wages. AC Milan held talks with his representatives earlier this month, but the Rossoneri now look set to sign Kyle Walker, which would fill up their last remaining slot for a non-EU player.

Rashford has reportedly turned down approaches from Saudi Pro League clubs. And while there has reportedly been tentative interest from sides such as West Ham and , Borussia Dortmund are currently believed to be well-placed in the hunt for the 27-year-old.
