Linda Nolan’s comedian nephew fights back tears on stage after her death

In the wake of ’s tragic death, her nephew Jake Roche fought back tears as he took to the stage for his one-man comedy show, Nepporhoids.

The former Rixton frontman is the son of ’s and star Shane Richie.

During the Friday show, was visibly emotional as he opened up about his late aunt, who endured a 20-year battle with breast cancer.

The 32-year-old choked on tears as he confessed to the intimate audience: “I didn’t know if I was going to do the show.

“I had some news this week that my Auntie Linda passed away. But she would’ve f****** killed me if I’d cancelled,” Jake revealed with his voice cracking as he spoke.

The teary-eyed singer-turned-comedian reflected on Linda’s impact, saying: “To a lot of people, she was an entertainer, a singer and whatnot. But to me, she was an auntie who I’m going to miss very much.

“And my mum came and surprised me as well which is sending me over the edge,” Jake revealed.

Coleen was seated in the venue’s “intimate box” bravely attending the show, just two days after her sister’s death.

According to a source via the , Coleen “showed incredible strength” as she laughed throughout the hour-long set.

The insider revealed that his tribute to Linda concluded with The Nolans’ 1979 iconic hit I’m in the Mood for Dancing, during which Coleen was seen breaking down in tears and being comforted by her daughter, Ciara Fensome, 24, who sat beside her.

They said: “Coleen was clearly holding it together for most of the night, but when the tribute to Linda came, it was all too much. It was a deeply sad moment.”

Jake’s set also included hilarious jibes at his father who was seated at the opposite side of the venue.

This included calling the star a “narcissist” and referencing the affair he had while married to Coleen.
