Fox News’ Jessica Tarlov on Friday took on network host Sean Hannity after he pressed her to weigh in on President Joe Biden’s lone White House term, which is set to come to an end with President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration next week.
Tarlov pointed to gas prices dropping, the nation’s 4.1% unemployment rate, the country’s GDP growth and a drop in crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border before calling on Hannity not to “deny the reality” of outcomes that the Biden White House “oversaw in the end.”
“There’s a reason that Donald Trump wants to take credit for these things,” she said.
“And there’s also a reason that now, Donald Trump, like in his Time interview … admitted ‘Oh, well, prices are really hard to get down.’”
She then pointed to Vice President-elect JD Vance’s call to stabilize prices while Tom Homan, Trump’s pick to be border czar in his new administration, telling Republicans they need to be “more reasonable” about deportation efforts.
“They’re backing off of the promises that they made to the American people because they know they’re not going to be able to achieve them,” she said of Trump, who has been backpedaling on key campaign pledges.
Hannity predicted that history will “not be kind” to Biden, whose most recent and final approval rating matched the lowest of his presidency.
Tarlov graded Biden and President Kamala Harris a “B” when asked how they performed in their four years in the Oval Office. She went on to note that there’s been “a lot” done for the country under Biden and Harris through the PACT Act as well as the CHIPS and Science Act. and the bipartisan infrastructure bill.

“They’re very, very good for this country but there’s no doubt, they’re leaving in a cloud of disapproval,” Tarlov said.
