Emmerdale enthusiasts have been left stunned by Zoe Henry’s undisclosed role in another ITV soap.

The actress first graced the Dales in 2001 as Rhona Goskirk, quickly becoming a beloved character.

Rhona has certainly had her share of dramatic storylines – from substance abuse and feuds to near-death experiences and affairs, her time in the Dales has been anything but dull.

Currently, her husband ‘s (Mark Charnock) daughter April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) has been missing since Christmas. The teenager was last seen entering an unfamiliar car driven by an unknown person.

Before her tenure, Zoe featured in shows like Dalziel and Pascoe, The Bill, A Touch of Frost and Casualty. However, it’s her stint on rival soap in the ’90s that has sparked conversation online.

Zoe joined the cast in 1998, portraying Log Thwaite, the vegan girlfriend of Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock). She appeared in six episodes and certainly stirred up some drama.

Log was despised by Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor), who had her eyes on Emily Bishop’s eco-warrior nephew herself.

Toyah plotted to oust vegan Log and managed to trick her into eating a bacon sandwich, ensuring that Spider caught her in the act. He promptly dumped Log for betraying the vegan cause, leading to her exit from the soap.

Moreover, in 2007, Zoe graced the cobbles of once again, this time as Casey Carswell, who struck up a friendship with Claire Peacock (portrayed by Julia Haworth). The plot took a steamy turn when Casey proceeded to have an affair with Ashley Peacock (played by Steven Arnold).

Reflecting on her days, Zoe once quipped about her roles’ interesting choice of names, stating: “Log Thwaite was the worst character name I’ve ever had, although Rhona Goskirk isn’t great either! “.

During a chat with Metro, she recalled, “It was my first job out of drama school and I was absolutely thrilled. Log was an ex-girlfriend of Spider, who turned up out of the blue but Toyah Battersby drove them apart. It was 24 years ago and I only did six episodes, but Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah, is very sweet whenever I see her.”

Surprised fans have been rediscovering Zoes former role, expressing their astonishment online. A flabbergasted viewer remarked on Facebook: “I did not recognise her.”

Another admitted: “I didn’t know that was Rhona she was young there.” Additionally, a third fan confirmed, “I had to Google it and it is her!”
