Keegan Bradley has set some lofty goals for 2025
Keegan Bradley has thrown down the gauntlet to top players like and Xander Schauffele, stating he’s on a mission to reclaim glory at golf’s four majors in 2025. Bradley, 38, last secured a major title at the PGA Championship back in 2011.
The American has set out to defy the odds and prove his mettle after a triumphant recent period that saw him emerge victorious at the Zozo Championship in 2022, the Travelers Championship in 2023, and the BMW Championship in 2024 – all after falling outside the top 100 in 2020.
Despite the recent dominance by stars such as Scheffler and Schauffele, world no.11 Bradley is now boosted with confidence and has recently been named the 2025 Team USA Ryder Cup captain.
“I haven’t won a major in almost 15 years. I want to contend in majors; that’s number one on my list,” Bradey admitted before the Sony Open this month. “I’ve won three years in a row. I’d like to make that four years in a row.
“But I really want to be looked at as one of the best players in the world. Me being the Ryder Cup captain doesn’t have anything to do with that.”
His resurgence brings tantalising prospects for the 2025 season, although statistics suggest a challenging road ahead, given that most PGA Tour triumphs occur prior to reaching age 38, reports the .

Bradley had also previously expressed his desire to remain in the limelight, stating: “I don’t want to be one of the guys that kind of disappears. I would love to be up in a category with the best players. I hope I don’t disappear. I don’t plan to.”
Meanwhile, world no.1 Scheffler enjoyed a triumphant year in 2024, securing his second Masters title – and later, the RBC Heritage, Memorial Tournament and Travelers Championship, all in the space of three months.
Schauffele also had a successful time of it, clinching his first two majors, including a nail-biting victory at the PGA Championship in May and The Open Championship in July. Bryson DeChambeau rounded off the major wins, claiming his second US Open title in June after a thrilling showdown with Rory McIlroy at Pinehurst No. 2 in North Carolina.
