Concerns have been raised about actor , 51, following his sudden exit from his Apple TV show, sparking its axe.
The second season of AppleTV’s the Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin has been halted due to Noel’s departure, which is reportedly health-related.
The show, an “irreverent retelling” of highwayman Dick Turpin’s life with Noel in the lead role, debuted last year and a second season was announced in July. However, it has now been revealed that the season has been cancelled this week after Noel failed to return post-Christmas break, as reported by the Times.
It’s suggested that he was not well enough to continue filming, which was already in progress.
Noel, also known for hosting the Great British Bake Off, has reportedly caused worry over his wellbeing. There’s also said to be frustration among some of his colleagues from the AppleTV show over the decision to halt filming despite being just weeks away from completion.
A source told the Times: “Noel has said that he can’t film anymore and so there was no choice but to stop.”, reports .

They further added that the decision was not “taken lightly” and stated that the situation would not have reached “this extreme result” if all other possible efforts had not been “exhausted”.
The source revealed: “People have been very concerned about Noel’s wellbeing and given him time to recover but there are also significant repercussions.”
They then disclosed that some individuals are “furious” about the current state of affairs.
A representative for Noel commented: “This is a private and confidential matter regarding our client’s health. We are saddened by the decision to cease production but we cannot make any further comment on this matter.”

The Sun has reported that over 100 cast and crew members are contemplating legal action against the producers of the show after its sudden cancellation. Left without jobs due to the abrupt halt in the second season’s production, they were reportedly unaware of the situation until after Noel had departed for France.
A source informed the outlet: “Axing a show halfway through production is virtually unheard of – plus there’s a mystery over just what has happened.”
The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin featured Noel as the iconic historical figure embarking on a series of “wildly absurd escapades” in its debut season, after being thrust into the role of the “reluctant leader of a band of outlaws”.
The show’s synopsis tantalises with: “In this irreverent retelling set in the 18th century, Turpin is the most famous but least likely of highway robbers, whose success is defined mostly by his charm, showmanship and great hair.”
