Publicising his plans for a new National Theatre in Wales, can’t resist a dig at fellow Welsh stars who left their homeland behind.
Having returned to his native Port Talbot in South Wales, after quitting life in America a decade ago, the patriotic actor, proves mischievous when asked whether he’s approached US-based or
“They’re going to have to compete with a lot of brilliant Wales-based actors if they want to get involved,” he pointedly remarks, adding: “We’ve got no shortage of amazing actors who have been working in Wales for many, many years and still are.”
