Emmerdale’s Wendy Posner has tearfully said goodbye to the village in heart-wrenching scenes. Susan Cookson, who has been a fixture on the ITV soap since 2019, has been at the heart of some of the show’s most compelling plots.

News broke this month that the actress would be departing the series after a six-year stint, with her final moments broadcast on Friday (January 17).

Wendy’s dramatic exit involved a blackmail scandal with a journalist who exposed her troubled history and hinted at her possible connection to April Windsor’s (Amelia Flanagan) vanishing.

Brand and culture guru Rochelle White from Rochelle White Agency weighed in on Wendy’s potential next moves, suggesting she might make an appearance on ITV’s other flagship soap, . Rochelle commented: “I feel that Wendy Posner could have a few opportunities come her way.

Another soap like could approach her either to be a guest character or even create a storyline for her to come in and be part of.”

“I feel that she could even do one of ITV’s mini series/ dramas that could be a great opportunity to showcase her acting ability and could showcase her in a different light.”, reports Leeds Live.
