BBC fans left ‘sobbing’ over The Traitors player’s family confession

Fans who tuned into the latest episode of The Traitors were left ‘in tears’ as the remaining eight contestants revealed what they would do with their potential winnings.

After the roundtable discussions, which saw another Faithful player being banished by mistake, the last eight were then told by Claudia that there was a dinner party waiting for them.

The group donned their finest outfits and enjoyed a sit-down meal, where they each told the table what they would do with the money if they made it all the way to the end.

Alexander, 38, shared his charitable intentions and revealed that his younger brother was born with special needs. He said: “Part of it I’d give to a charity called The Royal Mencap Society my brother used to go to a Mencap holiday every year and it gives respite for parents so that special needs kids can have a holiday and so can parents.”

This prompted a huge reaction online from fans who were left ‘sobbing.’ One person said: “OMG sobbing. Can we go back to everyone yelling please?! .”

A second also commented: “Alexander making me sob on a Friday night .” A third typed: “Omg Alexander wanting to give his potential winnings to charity in memory of his brother is so touching.”

Furthermore, Alexander also revealed his personal plans if he were to win, stating, “I’d also like to buy a flat because civil servant salaries are not as large as people think they are!”.

When discussing other reasons he joined the game, he said: “I love doing new things, and I always take opportunities where I can. I just finished visiting all 15 of London’s disused underground stations.

“When I was in Bologna recently, I went down the sewers. I went to Murmansk a couple of years ago to see the world’s northernmost McDonald’s and nuclear icebreaker. I’ve lived around the world in different countries.”

It is up to the Traitors to kill off a faithful each day without causing suspicion within the group. Each day, the cast complete a series of challenges with a chance to win an immunity shield to avoid being murdered by the Traitors that evening.

Later on in the day, the group congregate around the round table and vote off one contestant who they suspect to be a Traitor, each sharing their theories as to why.

The Traitors returns next Wednesday at 9pm on One and iPlayer.
