Perhaps most recognised for his portrayal of Ben Wyatt in the popular NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, he has graced a variety of comedy series and films, with the occasional foray into drama.
His latest successful venture, Severance, centres around a group of employees whose memories are divided between their professional and personal lives, effectively creating entirely new personas working for the enigmatic company, Lumon Industries.
While he tends to keep his private life under wraps, some aspects of his life outside his career have been revealed, reports .
So, what do we know about Adam Scott’s personal life?
The most recent personal update from 51 year old Scott came during a promotional interview for Severance on TODAY, where he was joined by director and executive producer Ben Stiller.

The premiere of Severance’s second season was called off due to wildfires in Los Angeles, and Scott gratefully confirmed that his family residing there are safe.
“Family’s good,” he shared. “My mother and father-in-law lost their home, along with thousands of others.
“So we’re all just doing what we can to help out.”
Scott typically refrains from sharing personal updates on his social media, primarily utilising his account to publicise his latest projects.

He rarely shares about his personal life, but in August 2023, Scott penned a rare post dedicated to his wife Naomi Sablan: “This is the 25th birthday of my brilliant, beautiful, hilarious, foxy wife Naomi that I’ve been lucky enough to spend with her. Yup we met in 1998.
“My partner in life and work, I love her so much I’ll disintegrate into a fine powder if I try and explain. I’m so insanely bonkers lucky, I mean good lord…as are our kids who get her as their mom…happy birthday my dear.”
Scott celebrated the occasion by sharing a selection of photographs featuring Naomi and their two children. The couple have been united in marriage since 2005.
Naomi herself is no stranger to showbiz, having produced films like The Overnight and TV series Ghosted. She also has projects like Double Booked and The Saviours in the pipeline.

Fans of Scott will recognise him from hit series like Severance and Parks and Recreation, not to mention shows such as Party Down and The Good Place, plus the voice role he’s known for in Inside Job alongside Lizzy Caplan, his former Party Down colleague.
His filmography extends to appearances in Madame Web, Krampus, The Aviator, and Step Brothers among others. Though he wasn’t in the original cult classic, Scott played a significant part in Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, the follow-up series to the 2001 film which was a launching pad for numerous comedic talents including his co-star from Parks and Rec, Amy Poehler.
Despite Scott’s prosperous journey, he narrowly missed a significant comedy milestone when he auditioned for the US version of The Office.
Scott missed out on another iconic sitcom role
Unseen footage reveals that he tried out for the character of Jim Halpert, a role that eventually went to actor-turned-director John Krasinski.
An interesting tidbit about Scott is his lifelong devotion to the band R.E.M. He even made an appearance as an extra in their 1992 music video for the song Drive.
His admiration for the band was incorporated into his Parks and Rec character, Ben.

R.E.M. featured prominently in his Earwolf podcast, which initially focused on U2 under the title U Talkin’ U2 To Me, before shifting to R U Talkin’ R.E.M. Re: Me?.
The format changed again to discuss the Red Hot Chili Peppers in R U Talkin’ RHCP Re: Me?.
However, this theme was short-lived and transformed into U Talkin’ Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head, before finally transitioning to Bruce Springsteen-themed discussions in U Springin’ Springsteen On My Bean?.
