The UK could be hit with more snowfall at the end of January, according to forecasters.
WX Charts predicts for 48 hours from midnight on January 28 to midnight on January 30, with the heaviest wintery downpours coming on January 29.
The snow will be focused on the Scottish Highlands, with Inverness and surrounding areas hit by the .
The Central Belt, near Edinburgh, may be hit too – as may the Scottish Borders.
However, northern England and Northern Ireland may also see patches of snowfall.

The does not tend to make snow predictions so far in advance as they are often unreliable.
However, the national forecaster concedes in their long-range forecasts that there is a “small chance” cold air will arrive that could bring “snow showers.”
Elsewhere, most of England and all of Wales are unlikely to see any snowfall. Heavy rain is, however, expected in western areas of southern Britain.
