Keke Palmer Shares The 1 Unique Compliment She Received From A Stripper

Keke Palmer ventured to a strip club for a little fun, but the real surprise came when a stripper threw her a compliment instead of a dollar.

During a sit-down with Issa Rae on Monday to promote their new movie “One of Them Days,” Palmer was asked by Rae what was the “wildest experience” she’s ever had with a server or waiter at a restaurant, especially since the actor works at a diner in the film.

“Well, I never had like a crazy, you know, server at a restaurant type of thing, but I do remember one time I was at a strip club,” Palmer revealed.

What followed was a “very unique” situation. Palmer then recounted how the stripper came up to her singing praises for one of her films.

“She was like, ‘Oh my gosh, Keke, they told me you was here, and I just wanted to let you know that my two favorite movies was ‘Akeelah and the Bee’ and ‘Selena’ growing up,’” Palmer recalled. “I almost made my stripper name Akeelah. I just want you to know I love you.”

Rae chuckled and said the statement was a “high compliment.”

The “Nope” actor is no stranger to sharing her revelations. In a 2024 appearance on “The Toast” podcast, Palmer disclosed a voicemail she received from Will Smith years ago when she was thinking about emancipating herself from her parents after their relationship had become strained. In her best impression of the “Men In Black” actor, Palmer said he told her:
