Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur have been dubbed tennis’ power couple
made a heart-warming request to the Australian Open staff during her fiance second-round match.
Boulter and De Minaur have been labelled tennis’ power couple, with the pair having announced their engagement late last year.
Their relationship has dominated headlines in the build-up to the , with Boulter even taking time out of her training regime to watch De Minaur in action.
A clip posted on social media shows Boulter sounding out an official in the pre-match training room so they can change the channel on the television.
It took a while for them to actually work out which TV channel he was playing on, but when they finally found the correct one, Boulter was able to watch her partner in action.
Boulter’s persistence seemed to work a treat as De Minaur romped through to the third round of his home Grand Slam by virtue of a straight sets win over American ace Tristan Boyer.
Unfortunately for Boulter though, the British No.1 wasn’t able to replicate the result of her husband-to-be, instead crashing out of the tournament at the hands of Veronika Kudermetova.
Boulter lost the first set against the Russian before bouncing back to clinch the second 6-2 in stylish fashion.

But that form would only last the one set, as Kudermetova took the decider 6-2 herself and confirmed another disappointing Grand Slam exit for Boulter.
It leaves as the last remaining Brit in the women’s singles draw, with the 2021 US Open winner having defeated Amanda Anisimova.
Her reward is a mouth-watering tie against five-time Grand Slam champion , who is yet to drop a set at this year’s Open.
Commenting on her performance down under, Raducanu said: “This is a Slam that I love playing at so to make it past the second round means a lot to me.
“It’s incredibly difficult whenever you play a friend, it adds another dimension to the match and not necessarily a pleasant one. I think I did a good job. I knew I had to not go away in the second set.”
It’s the first time since triumphed at the 2021 US Open she’s gone beyond the second round of a hard-court Slam.
Raducanu will be crossing her fingers that her body holds out and she’s able to continue competing, given the 22-year-old continued to struggle in the match against Anisimova.
