Paris is also known for its fashion scene, which is the reason why so many celebrities frequently visit there.
Taking a walk down the Avenue des Champs-Élysées is an absolute must for any fashion lovers, as it’s widely considered one of Paris’s most famous shopping districts.
Here you’ll find a huge array of luxury stores that are ideal for window-shopping, but it also provides some pretty impressive views, as the 1.9-km street stretches between Place Charles de Gaulle – where you’ll find the famed Arc de Triomphe – and Place de la Concorde.
Cycling fans will also notice that this is the famous finishing point for the Tour de France.

No trip to Paris would be complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower either – and it looks the most impressive at night, when it sparkles for five minutes every hour on the hour.
And you don’t even have to actually go up the tower either, as the most impressive views are from the ground. Head to the Trocadéro esplanade or the Champ de Mars for the most enviable viewing spot.
Foodies will also want to make sure they squeeze in some time to try some of Paris’s most famous dishes – such as steak frites, croissants, croque-monsieurs and escargots, if you’re feeling brave enough.
Or, for something sweet, be sure to sample Paris’s famous silky hot chocolate from Angelina, which is served with a generous helping of cream.
