Controversial comedian has attracted a wave of censure after he gave fans a glimpse into his opulent £14million home.
Star of The Office, Gervais provided a sneak peek inside his ritzy London home, flaunting a slew of eye-catching photographs. He unveiled snapshots of the grand interior on social media, focusing on his expansive entryway.
Gervais’ foyer is distinguished by a pristine white marble staircase with an elaborate handrail spiralling upwards.
Despite the dazzling white floors that mirror the radiance of the room, Gervais showed off a mundane side as a laundry basket was spotted resting nonchalantly in the corner.
Delving deeper, he escorted admirers through his lounge and work area, boasting his array of coveted accolades for all to see. Adorned with dual black couches and coordinating armchairs over the glistening marble surface, the spacious environment also houses Gervais’ timber desk, basked in natural light.

With its sparse decor, verging on minimalist, the residence avoids excessive ornamentation or personal trinkets.
However, the celebrity’s aesthetic preferences have not gone without scrutiny as some followers liken them to medical facilities.
One acerbically quipped: “Love what you have done to the place has that real psychopath mentality ward vibes.”
Echoing this sentiment, another remarked: “Must be weird living in a private hospital.”

This past summer, Ricky Gervais excitedly shared the news of relocating to a stunning new abode in the capital with his long-term companion Jane Fallon, leaving behind their former £10.8million dwelling in Hampstead.
Together for an impressive 42 years, the pair divide their time between homes in the UK and across the pond in the USA.
They are reported to own a picturesque riverside residence in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, and two sought-after apartments in New York City.
Reflecting on humbler times, Ricky reminisced about the first shared property he shared with Jane. Our first flat was a one-room in a place called Kings Cross, which was a rough area,” he said, recounting its less-than-ideal location.
He continued: “Our little bed was in this room. I could open the fridge from the bed! I think it was above some seedy sauna…That’s all we could afford.”
