A direct sequel to the 2018 God of War reboot, Ragnarok has a whopping 94% score on Metacritic.
The game sees Kratos and his son Atreus journey to each of the Nine Realms ahead of the ultimate world-ending battle.
“Along the way, they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters,” reads the official description.
“As the threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer, Kratos and Atreus must choose between the safety of their family and the safety of the realms.”
A visual treat with incredible production values, God of War Ragnarok was praised as much for its storytelling as it was for its action and set-pieces.
PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download and play God of War Ragnarok from January 21.
It will be joined by another narrative-driven action game in the form of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.

It’s slim pickings for PS Plus Premium subscribers, with only two games joining the line-up.
