Former Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley has called for a ban on hones in schools
“You may not THINK you have an addiction to your phone … but watch this show… you’ll be surprised.
“It saddened me to see that some children are spending as long as SIX hours a day on their phones ?????????????????? Creating anxiety, depression, severe lack of social skills and far worse.
“Why is that these platforms are all too happy to ‘Censor’ someone that talks about holistic medicine or the truth about what goes into our food chains/sprayed onto our crops and yet they allow children to be exposed to pornography and ‘suicide challanges’ ???? ????????????♀️??????
“Something is VERY wrong with this world. We MUST stand together to make a change. The things our kids are being exposed to are incredibly scary, even with (and I use this term extremely loosely) ‘Parental Control’ settings,” she wrote.

Matt and Emma Willis hosted Swiped: The School That Banned Smartphones on Channel 4
“The saddest part in all of this is that these young people are not ‘present’ , never ‘in the moment’ . Days are flying by and they’re completely unaware. They’re experiencing NOTHING (aside from anxiety, and short dopamine hits now and again).”
“We see so many children now completely inactive, overweight, dead behind the eyes… soulless little zombies with their little heads stuck in their phones.
“It is my belief that phones should be banned in ALL schools. For the greater good of the human race,” she said.
She concluded by praising the filmmakers writing: “Well done @channel4 for another brilliant documentary and Thankyou @emmawillisofficial and @mattjwillis for sharing your personal journey as parents and individuals.”
