Coronation Street star Seamus McGoff has announced his exit from the ITV soap
During the ongoing crisis on the cobbles, a sixth star has announced their exit from the long-running soap.
This month, fans have been left devastated amid the ongoing cast exodus after several beloved stars announced their departure from the show.
Now viewers have been dealt another blow after another star annouced their exit from the soap, with the news that his final scenes have already hit the airwaves.
Actor Seamous McGoff appeared to confirm that he left the show shared a shocking update on his social media. It comes after five stars – Charlotte Jordan, Sue Cleaver, Sue Devaney, Colson Smith, and Luca Toolan –
The TV star, who plays Matty Radcliffe, surprised viewers when he shared a snap of his final scenes with the cast and crew, simply saying he had “gone out with a bang.”

He shared his final scene online
In the snap, Seamus could be seen posing beside his co-stars Jack Carrol and Marc Bayliss, as well as Rebecca Atkinson, who recently signed up to the soap in a guest role as a prison guard.
He also shared a behind-the-scenes snap from his final scene on the soap. The scene – which viewers were blissfully unaware was his last – saw Matty in the prison visitng room waiting to see his girlfriend.
When she failed to turn up, Matty became angry and didn’t like the way Bobby Donovan looked at him. Matty then grabbed a knife and threatened to hurt him, which his dad Rob Donovan (Marc Bayliss) quick to step in to talk Matty down from hurting his son.
After the tense moment played out, Matty was dragged away and sent to solitary confinement after holding a prison guard hostage.
Matty was involved in an emotional knife crime storyline that saw his brother Mason (Luca Toolan) get stabbed to death by the pair’s older brother Logan (Harry Lowbridge).
It didn’t take long before fans flooded to the comments to share their shock at his unexpected announcement online. One user asked: “You ain’t done already are you?!” as another asked: “Don’t tell me that is your last scene?”
A third echoed their disbelief, adding: “Omg are you leaving?” while a fourth gushed: “Fantastic episode you did us proud love you” as a fifth echoed: “Brilliant work Seamus.”
