Coleen paid tribute to Linda
Coleen Nolan has been left heartbroken by the , whom she hailed as a “beacon of love, kindness, and strength.”
Linda, who sang with her sisters , Maureen, Bernie, Denise, and Anne in the Irish family group The Nolans, died at 65 years old, surrounded by her loving family.
Since being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, Linda fought bravely. She was declared cancer-free in 2011, but the disease returned as secondary breast cancer six years later. By 2020, it had spread further, and tragically, in 2023, it reached her brain.
In an emotional post, Coleen shared: “I am utterly devastated by the passing of my sister, Linda. Linda was a beacon of love, kindness, and strength.
“Her wit, humour and laughter was infectious, her presence could light up any room. Linda had a heart full of compassion and always knew how to bring comfort and joy to those around her,” reports .

She continued: “Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched, and while we will miss her more than words can express, we take solace in the love and warmth she shared with all of us. Rest in peace, Linda. You will forever be in our hearts.”
Following the sad news, stars such as Myleene Klass, Jake Quickenden, and Jo O’Meara have sent their condolences to Coleen and her family. The Nolans’ manager, Dermot McNamara, confirmed the sorrowful news, stating: “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Nolan”.
A statement released by heartbroken loved ones revealed: “Over the weekend, Linda was taken by ambulance to Blackpool Victoria Hospital and admitted with double pneumonia.
“In the early hours of Tuesday morning, she went into a coma and into end-of-life care, surrounded by her devoted family.”

Linda had been diagnosed with cancer before her death
It continued: “At around 10.20am on Wednesday, she passed peacefully, with her loving siblings by her bedside, ensuring she was embraced with love and comfort during her final moments, aged 65.
“Linda’s legacy extends beyond her incredible achievements in music and entertainment. She was a beacon of hope and resilience, sharing her journey to raise awareness and inspire others.”
The Nolans soared to the stellar heights of popularity especially during the late 70s and early 80s. Originally hailing from Dublin, the dynamic Irish family made their way to Blackpool in 1962 before hitting big.
They first charmed audiences as The Singing Nolans, evolving into The Nolan Sisters in 1974, and then ultimately rebranded as The Nolans six years later.
They stole hearts globally with chart-toppers like “I’m in the Mood for Dancing,” “Gotta Pull Myself Together,” and “Don’t Make Waves.”
Their stardom shot up in Japan, where they etched their name in history as the first European group to triumph at the Tokyo Music Festival with their hit “Sexy Music” in 1981.
Through the course of time, the lineup saw several changes; while pursuing their individual endeavours, the sisters still came together now and then for celebrated performances and tours.
