Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter opened up about her health woes
Janet Street-Porter stunned viewers after the presenter revealed her hair is falling out.
The presenter, 77, explained to her panellists, Jane Moore, Brenda Edwards and Linda Robson, that following a gruelling hip replacement surgery, her hair started to shed as part of her recovery.
She explained she has her hair professionally washed once a week by a hairdresser and regularly takes collagen tablets while maintaining a healthy diet.
Speaking on the show on Monday (January 13), Janet shared: “Since I had the hip replacement at the beginning of October, I noticed quite a lot of my hair was falling out when I was brushing my hair.”
“My hairdresser said, yeah, your hair is thinning,” she added.

“But it is the result of the operation. So I asked my doctor, and he said, ‘Yeah, after major surgery’.”
It comes after the on-screen star took a lengthy break from Loose Women after being hospitalised to undergo the operation.
Following her procedure, Janet had to undergo intense therapy and revealed she previously suffered ailments including brain fog, struggling to sleep and attempting to lie down on her back.
She said: “The one thing I have discovered is a raised toilet seat it is life-changing experience.

“I was in a lot of pain and hunched before. With pain, you work through it, and by the time I had the surgery, it was bad.
“The surgeon said my spine was out by 2 inches, and I was lopsided, and I’m now standing straighter.”
Janet updated her social media followers on her recovery process when she shared a beaming selfie from her hospital bed last year.
The presenter later shared a snap of herself exercising as part of her rehabilitation.
