viewers were unsurprised at the results of a YouGov poll which showed is almost neck and neck with and ahead of the Conservatives. ‘s party garnered 25% of the vote while ‘s embattled Labour were only 1% ahead at 26%.
Reporter Louisa James appeared via video link analysing the results live from her usual reporting spot outside Westminster and viewers were quick to comment despite the fact it will be years until there is another General Election.
“Why would anyone of sound mind still support labour?… They are destroying the country on a scale never seen before.” one stated.
“I don’t know where you do these poll’s but no on I know will vote for Labour again. Most believe Reform only have one good policy stopping the & returning emigrants #TalkTV,” another viewer observed.
“Reform could just sit back now, Starmer and his circus will drive Reform’s popularity up themselves,” a third predicted.
Nigel Farage’s Reform UK are almost neck and neck with Labour in polls
“Reform will continue to rise because the electorate knows that a vote for Reform isn’t a wasted vote anymore. Now Farage has been elected to parliament he has established himself has the real opposition for change. I will vote Reform just on immigration and net zero,” a fourth observed.
A fifth commented: “Well! Labour was a wasted vote for me! They lied! And as usual targeted Pensioners! Conservatives were hopeless! Let’s see what Farage can do!”
Another asked: “Who exactly is still thinking of voting Labour? They’re absolutely abysmal and doing lasting damage that will take years to put right.”
However one viewer was more cynical commenting: “People getting excited over a poll which is trying to predict something four and half years away is hilarious”
