One abandoned Scottish care home has been left to the elements, with family photos, manic scratches on the walls and ladders leading to the attic left exactly as they were, leaving explorers “really upset.”
One TikToker has documented her terrifying journey around Hill End view in Airdrie with one ex-worker commenting that she used to be scared to be left alone in the home.
who has exploring abandoned sites in Scotland, claimed the care home “ actually got shut down by care inspections due to how bad the patents got treated”. Maybe this grim ending is what has left such a “scary” mark on the old facility.
Chloe and her compatriots can be seen squeezing through two loose bars in a wrought iron gate to reach the old hospice. Sifting through upturned tables and ransacked rooms, Chloe found one bedroom filled with personal items.
The whole place had a ‘scary’ atmosphere
Don’t miss…
She said: “I would absolutely love the power of to find this person’s family members – this room was full of postcards, photo albums..I really think whoever this room was really loved their family, it was so so sad.” Weaving through the carpeted halls Chloe said, “If I could describe how your granny’s house would smell – this would be it.”
The most haunting part of the ordeal for Chloe was that “you can still here some of the machines bleeping” in the old rooms. One room with yellowing walls featured a mass of blackened scratch marks around an outlet. Chloe said: “These scratches on the wall absolutely terrified us.”
One solitary green armchair with a worn down centre sparked emotion for the TikToker. She said: “I couldn’t help but think of the old person that was sitting on the e- it is so sad.”
Some ladders were left painting up to the dark unknown of the attic space. Chloe said: “We found ladders up to the loft which was even scarier.”
The TikToker even found a grave
:
After one clip showing the girls crawling over fencing over a skip Chloe said: “The whole vibe of the place was just really upsetting.” But this drew a line under the end of Chloe’s exploration, she said “we heard dogs barking so we absolutely s**t it” alongside footage of her racing out of the area.
There were a couple more tidbits as she cleared the zone. Chloe said she “found a really scary haunted mansion magnet thing” showing a stylised brushed steel fridge magnet.
But this wasn’t quite all. Next, Chloe showed her more than 3000 followers a pale wooden cross with what looked like a letter attached to it by a measly tail of twine. She said: “And then we came across a grave by the looks of it.”
Emily Agnew commented: “I used to work the here. Was horrible. I couldn’t sit upstairs by myself – thought I was hearing things all the time.”
One former worker commented: Patients weren’t treated badly at all, CI just had a big problem with the boss, me, the rest of the staff and all patients were in tears to find out it was getting shut down
