One user said: “The precision of the OneBlade is remarkable. It easily removes my beard under the chin while allowing me to trim the rest of my beard to my preferred length with minimal effort. The results are consistently smooth and even, which is exactly what I look for in a trimmer.”

A second said: “My previous Philips electric trimmer lasted me 10 years a true testament to their quality and durability. This product far exceeded my expectations and performs even better than my last trimer. Highlights for me: easy cleaning, great battery life, easy storage (as it is very small/thin in size). 10/10”

A third raved: “This is really an excellent shaver! It’s so easy to get a close shave that’s virtually the same as a regular blade without the need for shaving cream. You can shave in all directions and absolutely no issues with ingrown hairs. I’ve been on the same head for about a year now even though the recommendation is to replace every 4 months and it still works like new (although I only shave every 3 days).”

However, one customer flagged: “You cannot charge it when using: which I found annoying… I’ve never understood why designers think it’s a good idea not to be able to charge it and use it at the same time. Let’s face it, we all forget to charge things up, so when you go to use it and its low, you’ll find it won’t cut as well as it does on a full charge.”

Another said it didn’t give them as close a shave as they were hoping for: “As a committed beard-owner, I use this to trim and shape my face fuzz. It does fine for a quick tidy-up, but doesn’t give a particularly close shave on the face, skin still feels stubbly.”

Fancy the occasional wet shave? Try the – Black & Grey, from . It’s more expensive, at £79.99, but it is down from £119.99.

For lots of settings so you can expertly trim your eyebrows and your moustache, take a look at the from Argos – it charges in just 20 minutes, but is £50 (down from £90).
